Current source release · v8.0.0

A next-generation local AI workbench for Maine family law.

Research official Maine authority, organize private matter records, inspect exact sources, verify citations and claims, build reviewable work product, and use specialized family-law workbenches—all with local-first privacy and human review.

Not a lawyer. Not legal advice. Not affiliated with the Maine Judicial Branch or any court. Every legal output remains review-required.

v8 source release

The v8 codebase, documentation, and feature catalog are live.

Version 8.0.0 expands the local workbench across research, records, evidence, drafting, courtroom preparation, local transcription, secure handoff, accessibility, and resource navigation. Each capability below carries an explicit readiness tier.

01

Current v8 source

Version 8.0.0 is the current GitHub source release. The full-tier 8.0.0.0 candidate passed its frozen-runtime smoke and package-boundary audits; Microsoft distribution remains a separate step.

02

Verified core

Forty workflows are verified end to end: 16 core workflows plus 24 source-bound specialized workbenches spanning the family-law matter lifecycle.

03

Microsoft Store availability

Version 7 is published and available as a free Windows download from the official Microsoft Store listing.

Optional local models

Model packs stay separate, inspectable, and under your control.

The v8 base workbench includes no legal model weights or adapters. A future full offline model pack can be explicitly installed, verified by hash and admission record, activated locally, and rolled back without changing private matter records. Unadmitted or development-only adapters never become a source of current law.

Verified specialized workbenches

Specialized workbenches now cover the full matter lifecycle.

Slices 21–44 now pass protected local API, meaningful production UI action, exact-source inspection, review-required status, focused tests, and full-tier frozen-runtime reachability.

The shipped command palette also includes 10 local Matter Productivity Studio capabilities for inbox review, workflow recipes, media transcription, ICS export, hardware optimization, source pinning, redaction review, next actions, courtroom presentation, and encrypted backup.

Three separate lanes

Authority, private evidence, and model analysis never become the same thing.

A

Official Maine authority

Admitted external sources carry official URLs, hashes, retrieval dates, freshness, lineage, citations, and exact spans.

B

Private matter records

User-selected records stay scoped to the active matter. They may support facts, but they are never treated as legal authority.

C

Model analysis

Generated explanations and drafts remain review-required and cannot silently outrank official sources or the record.

Verified v7 workflow

From selected records to a reviewable work product.

Import and inspect

Inventory mixed records, preserve originals, create searchable OCR derivatives, scan privacy, and compare duplicate or changed copies.

Research and verify

Ask Maine-law questions, open official source cards, inspect exact passages, and verify citations, pinpoints, quotes, and claim support.

Draft and review

Create review-required drafts, retain immutable revisions, compare changes, and generate blocker-bearing packets and receipts.

Safety by design

A failed verifier is a blocker, not permission to proceed.

Fake citations, unsupported claims, stale or wrong-jurisdiction authority, mismatched quotes, incomplete privacy review, missing human review, stale snapshots, and verifier exceptions fail closed.

A safe state edition must replace and validate that state’s statutes, rules, forms, appellate opinions, citations, freshness controls, evaluation data, privacy boundaries, and human-review policies.
